Born in Atlanta on May 21, 1923 to the late Jesse and Elizabeth Baker, Mary was raised in Charleston, SC. She devoted herself to her family until the youngest started school and then she worked in the lunchroom and then as a secretary at St. Thomas More Catholic School for 25 years. She loved playing bridge, penny poker, bowling and bingo. Mary loved the holidays and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grand children, of whom she was very proud.

Her home, just like her sweet and loving heart, was filled with laughter, good food, and many good times. Memories of her will be loving ones of a long and wonderful life filled with the love of family and friends. Sarah Jane was born on April 4, 1924 in Columbus, Georgia and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville and Florida State College for Women in Tallahassee where she was an active member of Kappa Delta Sorority and alumni.

She and her husband, George, relocated to Atlanta in 1964 where they raised their two daughters and resided for the next 45 years. She was very active in the Episcopal Church Women at Holy Trinity Parish in Decatur. She loved to entertain, travel and look for that perfect antique. White graduated from New London Academy, Forest, VA, and entered the Virginia Military Institute. left the Institute to serve as a 1st Lieutenant with the U.S. Army Air Corps and flew 32 missions, as a navigator, in the 15th Air Force with the 485th Group in Italy. He was the recipient of the Air Medal with the Five Oak Leaf Clusters. Upon his return, Mr.

White entered the University of Virginia and graduated from the McIntire School of Commerce in 1948. He was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon. After graduation, he moved to Atlanta and became the regional manager for the Deering Milliken Company before forming his own firm, Philip White Associates. He wa honored as the President of the Atlanta Textile Club in 1968. Mr.

White, an avid golfer, was a member of Riomar Country Club, the Riomar Bay Yacht Club, Island Club and The Moorings in Vero Beach. In Atlanta, he was a member of the Piedmont Driving Club and Peachtree Golf Club. He was also a member of The Jamestown Society, The Pointsett Club in Greenville, SC and The Travellers in Paris. Len made Jekyll Island his permanent home in 1983, after vacationing there for many years. He became a potter and often said that he "had retired and gone to pot." During the years he spent on Jekyll Island he directed many Elderhostel Programs, helped to form the Friends of Historic Jekyll Island, guided the progress of the Fiore Sculpture Gallery, played golf, tennis, enjoyed keeping his yard and loved watching the sunsets over the Jekyll River.

He leaves his wife, Jean their sons, Andrew and Alan, their daughter Allison, a daughter-in-law Andrea, five grandchildren, an "adopted son" Jeffrey Burrows, a sister, Florence Kazinski and her family in western NY.
