WWE is heading to the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland following one last action-packed WWE Raw at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio on June 10.
Drew McIntyre defeated Finn Bálor to ensure The Judgment Day will be banned from ringside at Clash at the Castle, and Dominik Mysterio still couldn't escape the Liv Morgan drama.
Dragon Lee, Rey Mysterio and Braun Strowman took advantage to pick up a big win over Dirty Dom, JD McDonagh and Carlito.
Bron Breakker and Ilja Dragunov put on one of the best matches of the year, a brutal battle that ended with the former on top.
The destructive powerhouse was not done, though, as he then sent Ricochet to hospital after a beatdown. According to PWInsider's Mike Johnson, this is likely the end of The One and Only's run in WWE as he will not be re-signing when his contract expires
Monday's show did not deliver the biggest hype moments for Clash at the Castle, but it did continue some fun drama and great matches.
Build For Clash at the Castle Has Underwhelmed
1 of 4
Clash at the Castle will likely be a night to remember on Saturday, but WWE hasn't done nearly enough to sell the show.
Monday's Raw spent significant time on The Judgment Day. But while Damian Priest will be defending the World Heavyweight Championship in Glasgow, no one else in the group will be competing. The same is true of Liv Morgan, who does not look likely to travel to Scotland.
Bron Breakker and Ilja Dragunov could have delivered their show-stealing Raw match at the premium live event. Instead, they will also be missed at the weekend.
Priest vs. McIntyre is Raw's big match for the PLE, and it lacks a necessary spark. Both men are heels, and The Scottish Warrior is too focused on CM Punk to sell his rivalry with The Archer of Infamy.
Sami Zayn and Chad Gable have the strongest Raw build for the event, helped by the career-defining work of Otis. The three men will need to deliver a unique match that can capitalize on the drama.
The only other Clash match that was featured was the Triple Threat bout for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships, but Raw was about Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark squashing Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.
SmackDown in Scotland will do more heavy-lifting, especially thanks to the great build for the Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles rematch.
Hopefully, Clash at the Castle is more than just a moment to celebrate WWE's Scottish Superstars and can deliver moments that push the company forward into the summer.
Ricochet Never Reached His Full Potential in WWE
2 of 4
June 10, 2024 may be the last time Ricochet appears on WWE television.
It is a shame because he showed serious promise as the premier high-flyer in the business, but WWE never could capitalize beyond solid but forgettable midcard title reigns.
The problem for The One and Only is that the company was never willing to commit to him as a performer, driven by his limited promo skills.
In the WWE environment, he was never going to be quite good enough. It was not ready to make him the next Rey Mysterio or Jeff Hardy as the speedster whose performances were enough to elevate him without a microphone.
Ricochet can find that success outside WWE where in-ring work is at a much higher premium, but his next move will be crucial.
If he goes to All Elite Wrestling, he needs to be featured on a regular basis and treated as the absolute speedster in the business. He also needs to deliver strong promos on occasion.
In New Japan Pro-Wrestling or the wider independent scene, he can be a champion quickly, but he won't get as many chances to push himself as a character worker.
At 35 years old and working a style that puts heavy pressure on his body, the next couple years could be his last great work. He will need to make the most of his next opportunity.
Maybe if Ricochet does return to WWE down the line, he will have made a statement loud enough to redefine his legacy.
Dragon Lee Must Take Up Ricochet's Mantle as WWE's Top High-Flyer

As Ricochet walks away from WWE, an opening has presented itself for someone to step up as the next top high-flyer in the company.
While Nathan Frazer, Axiom and Je'Von Evans are making splashes in NXT and Montez Ford has long awaited a big singles run, the clearest answer to step up is Dragon Lee.
The luchador burst onto the scene in early 2023 and immediately impressed enough for Rey Mysterio to declare the 29-year-old the future of lucha libre.
However, 2024 has not been a great year for Dragon, who is playing in the background of LWO. But that should change with a more urgent need on Raw.
While the two did not work identical styles, the Mexican is in the best position to supplant Ricochet due to his talent and opportunity, slowly escaping the shadow of Mysterio.
Give him big matches with the likes of Ilja Dragunov, Bron Breakker, Damian Priest and Finn Bálor to show what he can truly deliver.
Bron Breakker and Ilja Dragunov Show Their Worth with Match-of-the-Year Display

Ilja Dragunov has worked fast on the main roster to carry his aura from NXT, and he continues to deliver great matches again and again.
Even facing a familiar adversary in Bron Breakker, The Mad Dragon elevated his own performance while giving his opponent a spotlight that made him look unstoppable.
If WWE had any hesitation about pushing the 26-year-old son of Rick Steiner, Breakker dispelled those concerns with a performance that could have main-evented a premium live event.
The two men together put on what may be the WWE's TV match of the year while continuing a feud that gets more personal by the week.
As Gunther looks poised to win the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, both Dragunov and Breakker should be strong favorites to challenge him early in his reign.
